On February 8, 2024, Louisiana Region 3, 6, and 8 STEM Centers hosted RECIPE for Rural STEM Day. The STEM day took place at the Alexandria Mega Shelter and was an absolute success! It was filled with hands-on STEM exploration and exciting learning opportunities for our 5th and 6th grade students throughout Louisiana.

From NATIONAL GIRLS COLLABORATIVE PROJECT: Beginning in pre-kindergarten, research has shown that subtle features of common language used by teachers (and other adults, like parents and caregivers) can interfere with – or facilitate – the development of children’s own engagement with science.
